Germany: Warsteiner buys Herforder for undisclosed sum

German brewery Warsteiner is acquiring its rival Herforder Brauerei effective July 1 for an undisclosed sum, according to Handelsblatt, citing the two companies, AFX News Limited reported June 12.

The report, citing sources, said the price could be a low two-digit million euro figure because the acquisition includes all of Herforder's debts as well as a guarantee to retain the brand name 'Herforder'.
