UK: Brewer Young & Co says trading remains strong

Young & Co's Brewery Plc said on Tuesday it remained on track to meet its strong growth expectations as sales from its retail business rose 15.4 percent over the first 12 weeks of its current financial year, Reuters reported July 10.

It said trading in April and May was very strong, although June sales were subdued due to the impact of the poor weather.

"Taking all factors into account, while it remains early in our financial year and there are some potential threats to trading on the horizon, we are confident that we remain on track to meet our strong growth expectations for the current year," it said in a statement.
