Saudi Arabia: Government deregulates domestic sales prices, import subsidy unchanged
Saudi Arabia has deregulated domestic sales prices, but left the import subsidy unchanged at Riyal 700,-, analysts reported October 1. It hopes to change feeding patterns away from barley to mixed feed. Also Iran and Israel expect to reduce barley imports, but North Africa continues to purchase large quantities, and even Turkey plans an import tender for 300,000 tons.
