Australia: Victoria, New South Wales & South Australia barley pool estimates again unchanged

ABB Grain has reviewed its harvest barley pools and has left them unchanged with gross estimates for feed 1 at $318-$328/tonne and malting 1 at $385-$395/tonne for Victoria and New South Wales and $308-$318/tonne and $375-$385/tonne respectively for South Australia, according to company’s press release, January 10.

ABB’s pools manager, Jonathan Wilson, said that the past week had seen some volatility in the foreign exchange rate and while ocean freight was seemingly easing, buyer focus was still on executing existing business rather than entering into new sales.
