India: Barley futures down on profit-taking
Indian barley futures fell on profit-taking after previous week's rise and arrival pressure in the spot market, analysts said, according to Reuters, April 28.
The most-active May barley futures NBLK8 rose more than 6 percent in the previous week on demand from malt-making industry.
Spot prices in Jaipur, a major trading centre, fell by 6 rupees to 1,128 rupees.
At 2:08 p.m, the most-active May contract NBLK8 was down 3.29 percent at 1,110 rupees per 100 kg.
