Denmark: Carlsberg sees total S&N purchase price 57 billion Danish crowns

Danish brewer Carlsberg AS currently estimates that the purchase price for Scottish & Newcastle PLC (S&N) will reach 57 billion Danish crowns including transaction costs, Thomson Financial News reported May 7.

Acquisition facilities of 2.772 billion pounds have been successfully syndicated, it said in a conference call following its first quarter report.

As previously reported, the group said it is preparing for a capital increase of up to 31.5 billion crowns to help finance the transaction.

Carlsberg and Dutch peer Heineken agreed to buy S&N earlier this year for 7.8 billion pounds.
