Mexico: Femsa higher following rumours that the company could be the next brewer to be taken over

Shares of Fomento Economico Mexicano (Femsa) were 4% higher on June 23 AM after a Barron's article suggested the company could be the next brewer to be taken over following InBev's $46 billion unsolicited offer for Anheuser-Busch.

Barron's said Femsa could fetch as much as $80 per share in a deal, which is nearly double its current market price. SABMiller would be the most likely buyer for the company, analysts say.
