Russia: Beer output hiked by 2.3% in H1 2008

Russian beer production increased 2.3% to 5.83 billion litres in the first half of the year, according to the latest figures of Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

Russia significantly increased the production of almost all types of food in the first half of 2008 with the exception of bread, milk and cheese, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
