Algeria: Algeria announced a tender on feed barley
Algeria’s state company OAIC (Office Algerien Interpofessionnel des Cereales) has invited bids for 25 thousand tonnes of feed barley of any origin, APK-Inform communicated on August 7.
The announced volume of grain is to be delivered in September, this year.
According to traders, OAIC has decided to stir up the import using the favourable state of prices on the global grain market. Still, the intrigue is whether the barley of Black Sea origin will manage to compete with the French barley within this bidding (for besides prices, politics is a very important underlying reason in such tenders as well).
