Switzerland: Barley production in 2009 forecast at 184,500 tonnes, acreage to decrease

The latest estimate for Switzerland’s barley crop this year has been set at 184,500 tonnes, Swiss Granum posted on May, 19.

The nation’s barley acreage has been revised downwards from the last estimate (minus 2,800 ha), it is reported.
