India: Kingfisher Ultra beer launched in New Delhi

United Breweries, makers of the largest selling beer brands in the country, have launched its Kingfisher Ultra beer in the national capital market earlier this week, Sify.com reports.

Kingfisher Ultra would be available in two sizes. A 650 ml beer bottle is priced at Rs.90 and a 330 ml at Rs. 50.

Kingfisher Ultra, the Vijay Mallya-promoted company said, is created for the young achievers who pride themselves on their taste. The beer is packaged in a distinctive embossed bottle with a ring pull crown.

“New Delhi is a very significant market for the brand. We are confident Kingfisher Ultra will soon top the list of preferred beer brands in the capital and live up to Kingfisher's promise of bringing in the good times,” said Samar S. Sheikhawat, senior vice president-marketing.

The brand was launched in September 2009 and is available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Puducherry.
