Peru: SABMiller’s Pilsen Callao beer increases market share in August
SABMiller’s Pilsen Callao has strengthened its position of being the second highest selling brand in Peru after Cristal beer, the world’s No. 2 brewer reported on October, 7.
According to CCR data, Pilsen Callao’s share in the national market reached 30% in August of this year. It should be noted that from 2006 to today, Pilsen Callao has gained 9 points of participation at a national level.
According CCR, a company that specializes in international market assessment, Pilsen Callao increased its market participation by 5 percentage points in the country's northern region over the past year. It went from 51% in August of last year to 56% in August of this year. Meanwhile, in the country's southern region, its market participation went from 13.9% to 16.1% during the same period. In the country's central region, its market participation reached 30.5%.
