Germany: Total grain and barley trade declines in July 2011
Large and medium sized origination companies in Germany purchased 2.7 mln t of grain in July 2011, 26% below the volume purchased in the same month in 2010, the BLE reported on November, 4.
The total includes 873,000 (732,000) t of wheat (excluding durum), 9,000 (13,000) t of durum, 140,000 (178,000) t of rye, 1.6 (2.5) mln t of barley, including 170,000 (188,000) t of malting barley, 76,000 (59,000) t of corn, and 49,000 (117,000) t of triticale.
