Namibia: Namibia Breweries gets new managing director

Hendrik van der Westhuizen, the current managing director of Hangana Seafood, has been appointed as the new managing director of Namibia Breweries Limited effective, 2 April 2012, All Africa reported on November, 25.

Diageo and Heineken have a combined 28.9% stake in Namibia Breweries, which is controlled by Ohlthaver & List Group of Companies.

Sven Thieme, the executive chairman of Ohlthaver & List Group of Companies, will continue as acting MD of Namibia Breweries until van der Westhuizen's arrival. Thieme assumed the managing directorship in September 2007 on an interim basis.
