Canada, BC: Vancouver Island Brewery launches Dough Head Gingerbread Ale

In honour of the oncoming winter season and associated holiday celebrations, Vancouver Island Brewery has released a new limited edition seasonal beer, Canadian Beer News reported on December, 5.

Dough Head Gingerbread Ale is available exclusively on tap at pubs and restaurants in the Victoria area, and has been crafted to smell and taste like a fresh gingerbread cookie.

The brewery has also teamed up with the Inn and Laurel Point to help support the 2011 Great Gingerbread Showcase and its fundraising effort for Habitat for Humanity Victoria. Dough Head will be available at Aura Restaurant in the Inn, and 25 cents from every pint sold will be donated to Habitat for Humanity in support of building housing for low-income families.
