USA, VA: Wild Wolf Brewing expands and changes location

A year ago, Wild Wolf Brewing Co. was just a nanobrewery and homebrew supply shop with a 10-gallon system that brewed enough beer to last for two weeks before it sold out, The Daily Progress reported on December, 10.

Owner and co-founder Mary Wolf never envisioned that her establishment would become such a hit.

“We had no idea we would sell so much beer!” Wolf said.

One year later, Wild Wolf has moved to a five-acre and has transformed into so much more than a brewery.

“I would say that certainly the location here is incredibly unique for us,” Wolf said.

The co-founder and head brewmaster at Wild Wolf, Danny Wolf brews approximately 24 beers a year, five of which are “house beers” and brewed year-round, the most popular being his famous Alpha Ale. An assortment of flavored seasonal beers fills up Wild Wolf’s menu, including “Strawberry Schwarzcake” and “Howling Pumpkin.”

“The beer is unique in that Danny has his own style,” Mary Wolf said.
