Croatia: Beer cocktails accounted for 10% of Croatia beer market last year

The mixtures of beer and lemonade and other fruity flavors held a 10 per cent market share in Croatia in 2011, especially during the summer months, BeverageManager.net reported on January, 17.

Consumption of beer in Croatia is very seasonal. Distinctive peaks are visible every summer when scheduled sporting events and the tourist season combine to drive up consumption.

Zagrebacka Pivovara, owned by StarBev, leads the beer sector in Croatia with a 38% volume share, followed by Karlovacka Pivovara, owned by Heineken, with 18%.
