Canada, AB: Molson Coors brings back Calgary beer
Brewery news

Molson Coors has shipped around 20,000 cases of Calgary beer to celebrate the 100 years of the Calgary Stampede, The Drinks Business Review reported on July, 05.

Originally developed by Calgary Brewing and Malting in 1892, the Calgary beer production was stopped in 1989, when Molson Coors took over the Calgary Brewing.

The pale yellow lager was then re-introduced occasionally for its 100th anniversary in 1992 and in November 2011. Now, the Calgary Beer is sold exclusively in Saskatchewan.

Molson Coors spokeswoman Julie Gathercole told Calgary Herald that passionate Calgary Beer drinkers are part of the reason it was reintroduced on a seasonal basis.

Calgary Beer, with a horseshoe and buffalo logo on the label, can be found at most retailers and in 60 bars across the city at a price range between C $21-26 per dozen bottles.
