USA, CA: Rubicon Brewing to expand production

Rubicon Brewing Company is opening a new facility in West Sacramento, California, The Drinks Business Review reported on August, 22.

According to Sacramento city officials, the brewery will have a capacity to generate ten times more beer compared to the brewery's current site downtown Sacramento.

The company will continue to brew test batches at the existing brewery and the new brewery will begin production by December 2012.

Rubicon Brewery owner Glynn Phillips said that the decision to expand the brewery side of the business was based on increasing demand.

"The food and restaurant side of the business has been consistent while the amount of beer I can produce has maxed out at 2,000 barrels," he added.
