EU: EU extends freeze on import duties on feed wheat and barley until the end of 2012/13 season
In a move to counter the impact of high prices on the livestock sector, the EU approved on November, 8 the extension of a freeze of import duties on feed wheat and barley until the end of the 2012/13 season on June 30, Reuters reported.
In June, the EU suspended its import duties of Ђ12 ($15.52) per tonne for low and medium-quality wheat and Ђ16 a tonne for feed barley until the end of this calendar year, in response to high grain prices.
