USA, FL: Pinglehead Brewing doubles capacity
Brewery news

Pinglehead Brewing is doubling its capacity and has bottled its first beer, Jacksonville.com reported on December, 13.

Two brand new 15-barrel fermenters were installed last week at Pinglehead, the brewing part of Brewer’s Pizza in Orange Park, and should be online soon.

Steve Halford, the general manager, said the increased capacity is more for distribution than it is the in-house taps. They’re averaging about eight-12 of their own beers at a time, along with a couple dozen others. And it’ll probably stay that way.

Halford said Pinglehead is in about 45 bars and restaurants in the Jacksonville/Clay/St. Augustine area and the new tanks should allow that to grow.

Meanwhile, they’ve also bottled Ambitious Monk, their 10.3 percent Belgian Tripel. They don’t have a bottling line, so all 500 were hand-bottled and hand-labelled.

That’s why Halford said they’ll bottle again, but it won’t be soon.

The 22-ounce bottles will be released on December, 18, selling for $15 each.
