USA: Stone Brewing Company increases availability of its beer

Escondido, California-based Stone Brewing Company has increased availability of its Double Bastard Ale and Southern Charred entries nationwide, Shanken News Daily reported on November 6.

First launched in 1998 as an “amped up” version of Stone Brewing’s Arrogant Bastard Ale, Double Bastard is a limited annual release that can be enjoyed fresh or aged for up to several years.

The 11.2%-abv offering is currently available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. Southern Charred, meanwhile, is one of three new entries in Stone’s experimental Quingenti Millitre Series, introduced alongside the Crime and Punishment labels.

A barrel-aged version of Double Bastard, Southern Charred (12.6% abv) is offered in 500-ml. bottles and on draft.
