Rwanda: Bralirwa stops brewing and marketing Guinness
Bralirwa, one of Rwanda’s leading brewers, has stopped the production and marketing of Guinness beer as its contract with East African Breweries had expired, New Times reported earlier this week.
According to a statement by the company, East African Breweries will be handling the brand itself from now on, ending the collaboration that started in 1989.
The change in administration may lead to an increase in the price of Guinness, as East African Breweries does not own any production facility in Rwanda.
