USA, TN: East Nashville Brewing Co. to open in Nashville

According to permits filed recently with Metro, East Nashville Brewing Co. is in the works at 320 E. Trinity Lane in Nashville, a roughly 4,000-square-foot warehouse a few miles from Five Points, Nashville Business Journal reported on August 27.

The owner of the proposed brewery is a familiar face — Metro councilman Anthony Davis, who represents East Nashville's 7th District. Davis, who said he considers craft beer a passion, is not an actual brewer himself. As head brewmaster, he's enlisted Sean Jewett, who apprenticed at Cool Springs Brewery and worked a stint at Honky Tonk Brewing Co.

Davis said he is looking for one or two more capital partners for the brewery, which he described as "taproom-centered."

"Our goal is to have a variety of beer on tap, with good food," said Davis.
