USA, WI: Leatherhead Brewing Company opens in Green Bay on September 24

Leatherhead Brewing Company is now open in Green Bay, WeAreGreenBay.com reported on September 24.

At the grand opening of Leatherhead Brewing Company on Lombardi Avenue on September 24, city leaders expressed their excitement over the latest craft brewery to set up shop in the Legends District [Green Bay].

"They're in a niche that people are seeking right now and that's that whole micro-brewery, so, and we are very confident in their business plan and love their investment and really look forward to adding to the whole economic development here in greater Green Bay," explains Mayor Jim Schmitt.

Housed in the old Marty's Boston Crab building, Leatherhead Brewing's craft beer is what the company says will set them up to succeed.

Something Brad Toll with the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau agrees with.

"I really think we're going to see a lot of changes in this area, a lot of new businesses moving in. Certainly Badger State has helped you boost the interest in this part of the city," says Toll.

Co-owner of Leatherhead Brewing, Amanda Sharon, says not only did Badger State Brewing being close by, boost her interest in the property, but it is also creating a brew hub in the area that they expect will attract people to Green Bay.

"So we're hoping that people will come to Green Bay to go to all of the different breweries," says Sharon.

Leatherhead Brewing has a full bar, including other local brews. The most unique thing about Leatherhead Brewing is that it has Green Bay's only 'pour your own' beer station.

While some of those stations are still being installed and worked on, Leatherhead Brewing hopes that with the right brew they'll be pouring their beer for many people, and many years to come.
