USA, MN: Bad Habit Brewing Co. getting ready for Halloween launch in St. Joseph

Bad Habit Brewing Co. in St. Joseph finally has an official opening date, St. Cloud Times reported on October 20.

The brewery at Suite 108 at 15 Minnesota St. E will open its doors to the public at 2 p.m. Oct. 31.

Bad Habit is also hosting an exclusive preview of the taproom the day before on Oct. 30.

“My head is spinning right now,” joked founder Aaron Rieland, who worked for about two years to secure a brewery location. “I’m obviously nervous but also very excited.”

Rieland said he’s already kegged two of the beers.

Bad Habit brews on a five-barrel system and is scheduled to launch with a chocolate milk stout, India pale ale, Saison, cream ale and non-alcoholic root beer on tap. Each evolved from Rieland homebrew recipes.

Normally, the brewery will be open Fridays and Saturdays. Rieland said they will explore adding Thursday hours in the near future.

“I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel,” Rieland said. “All that’s left are a few odds and ends.”
