USA, WA: Airways Brewing pushes back the opening of its new Kent tap room

Airways Brewing has pushed back the opening of its new Kent tap room to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, Kent Reporter said.

The company had initially planned to open its new facility on June 14 at 8611 S. 212th St.

Airways co-owner Dione Dittmar said on June 2 that more time was needed to make sure the new site passed all inspections and had everything ready to go on opening day.

Construction on the 9,000-square-foot facility, 8611 S. 212th St., started in March and is expected to be ready to produce beer in July.

The new spot will replace the original brewery and tap room and will allow for up to a fourfold increase in production as well as an increase in seating capacity.

The original tap room, on West Valley Highway and South 196th Street, will be open through Friday, June 17.
