USA, CT: Forest City Brewing officially launched in Middletown

Forest City Brewing has officially opened its doors, Patch.com reported.

The new Middletown brewery, located at 180 Johnston Street, had a grand opening on June 23, which attracted community members and town officials.

The Middletown Press reports that Owner and Brewer Chris Coughlin, 31, started his family-run brew business from his basement.

The Northeastern University grad and Middletown resident, with the help of his family, began working with the city to open his business about three years ago, The Press reports.

Larry McHugh, president of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, told The Press the town is excited for a new brewery.
