Canada, BC: Sooke Brewing Company receives approval for opening in Sooke’s town centre
The Sooke News Mirror reports that an investment group has received approval to open a brewery in Sooke’s town centre.
Sooke Brewing Company is being founded by local businessman Carl Scott and four partners, and will be located in a new C$2 million development that will be built on two lots owned by Scott adjacent to his Sooke Centre Auto business.
The 3500-square-foot building will include a 15 hectolitre brewhouse, tasting room and retail store, and Scott expects the brewery will employ six full-time staff and several part-time.
Construction will start soon, and is planned to be completed before the end of 2016.
