Canada, ON: Small Pony Barrel Works to open physical brewery location in Kanata next year

Ontario Beverage Network reports that a new brewery specializing in barrel-aged sour ales is about to release its first beers in Ottawa.

Small Pony Barrel Works is planning to open a physical brewery location in Kanata next year, but in the meantime, it is collaborating with other local breweries on limited edition small batch beers to establish its brand in the area.

The first trio of Small Pony beers – Raspberry Golden Sour, Strawberry Blueberry Golden Sour, and Citra Golden Sour – were brewed at Evergreen Craft Ales, and are being offered to Evergreen Club subscribers this week, with the remaining cans going on general sale in the Evergreen retail store on Saturday November 26th.

Next up for Small Pony will be a collaboration with Cassel Brewery, which will be brewed next week using 400 pounds of sour Montmorency cherries.
