Canada, BC: Dedicated to contract and partner brewing, Factory Brewing to open soon in Vancouver
The first brewing facility in British Columbia exclusively dedicated to contract and partner brewing is set to open soon in Vancouver, Canadian Beer News reported on April 17.
Factory Brewing is being established by a core team that includes CEO Andrew Harris, Brewmaster Andres Palma (former Director of Brewing at Molson‘s Vancouver plant), and Head of Operations Rick Dellow (co-founder of R&B Brewing).
Brewing on a 50 hectolitre Newlands Systems brewhouse, Factory will have an annual capacity of over 60,000 hl, and offers clients a full packaging line and quality control lab.
“Unlike other contract breweries, Factory is completely collaborative,” explains Harris in a statement. “Our brewers work with our partner breweries every step of the way. We’re like their assistant brewers.”
Factory will be launching later this spring at 1575 Vernon Drive, and will initially be producing beer for 11 partner breweries, including providing additional brewing capacity for Doan’s Craft Brewing of East Vancouver.
