Cyprus: Beer consumption up 19.6% in May
Consumption of beer in Cyprus showed a significant annual increase of 19.6 per cent in May, according to figures released by the Statistical Service.
The consumption of beer increased to 4,427,384 litres, compared with 3,701,307 litres in May 2016.
By contrast, beer exports fell in May 2017 to 41,375 litres, compared with 152,040 litres in the same month last year, a reduction of 72.8 per cent.
In the first five months of the year the total consumption of beer (local consumption and exports) increased to 13.02 million litres, against 12.32 million litres in the same period last year.
