South Africa: The Food and Allied Workers had filed a section 77 notice against SAB, the local arm of SABMiller, which would give the union the legal right to call for a consumer boycott against the products of the brewer, the union said at the weekend, Business Report posted on September 20.

“The Food and Allied Workers” is involved in a dispute over SAB's appeal against a labour court judgment ordering the reinstatement and compensation of dismissed workers. The union said it was not denying SAB the right to appeal but the workers had to be reinstated in the interim in compliance with the judgment.
