USA, IL: Industry Brewing Company already open in Peoria
Craft beer is back in the barrels of a North Peoria brewery in Peoria, IL, the Peoria Journal Star reports.
Industry Brewing Company, a brewery with food service for lunch and dinner, opened on December 12 at 8012 N. Hale Ave., the site of the old Peoria Brewing Company. Area restaurateur Travis Mohlenbrink purchased the brewery earlier in the summer with designs to re-open it this winter after a quick renovation. Mohlenbrink owns a collection of restaurants in Peoria, including Thyme, Cayenne and Sugar.
Industry will be open every day starting at 11 a.m. with the kitchen open until 10 p.m. and the bar open later than that. Seven of the nine beers brewed on the premises are currently available, per Industry Brewing’s Facebook page, and all nine will be available by the weekend.
Among the different craft styles that Industry will feature include a peanut butter stout, a Kolsch, two pale ales, a porter, a stout, a blonde, a red ale and a hoppy wheat. Customers can also purchase the beer to go in a “crowler” — a can-and-growler hybrid that are sealed and recyclable.
But beer isn’t all that’s on tap at Industry Brewing. The lunch and dinner menu features mostly pub food along with soups, salads and flatbreads. But you can also purchase hot dogs or a s’mores kit and roast some food over the smokeless outdoor fire pits year-round.
Industry Brewing also possesses a dedicated game room for activities such as ping pong, beer pong or shuffleboard in addition to a vintage Nintendo console to game on.
