USA, MI: Brass Ring Brewing debuts in Grand Rapids

Brass Ring Brewing held its ribbon-cutting and grand opening in Grand Rapids on Thursday, January 11. Beer lovers lined up about the building to the first ones in, WOODTV.com reported.

Though Grand Rapids is well known for its robust craft beer industry, Brass Ring is the first one in the growing Alger Heights business district.

You can visit Brass Ring Brewing on Eastern Avenue at Alger Street SE. In recent years, the building has housed an ice cream shop, a sandwich shop, a hot dog shop and a candy shop. So what’s going to make Brass Ring succeed?

“We’re going to be successful as a brewery here because of our neighborhood. We’re a very community-forward operation and we have designed the brewery for our community as a place for people to come and gather,” owner Chris Gibbons said.

In addition to promising “world-class beer,” Gibbons said the brewery will also have a menu of sharing plate options.

Seven beers were on tap on the opening night.
