USA, IA: Dimensional Brewing Company hoping to launch in Dubuque around Thanksgiving

The owners of a new brewery in Dubuque hope to open their doors around Thanksgiving, according to partner Tom Rauen, KCRG reported on January 16.

Dimensional Brewing Company will be located at 67 Main Street.

Rauen said he and his five partners have been working on the brewery for quite a while and closed on the building January 12.

They've already had some private tasting events, and plan to do a monthly tasting event until their official opening. Rauen said they want to get their product out there and to get feedback from customers. The next event is at Brewfest on Ice in February. Although they can't serve beer until they obtain a license, people may meet the brewers and ask questions.

Once open, the brewery will also serve wood fire pizza.

Rauen said he and his partners love craft beer as a hobby. They've all visited other breweries and beer fests. Now they're taking that passion and turning it into something they can share with others, according to Rauen.

The partners plan to offer something for everyone, including simpler beers, but they want to get complex with the tastes and "push the envelope" trying new brews.

As far as beer goes, he says they'll have something for everybody - have simpler beers for Busch or Bud lovers, but then they want to get dimensional and complex with the tastes and push the envelope and try new things out.

Rauen said they want Dimensional Brewing Company to be a destination for locals and tourists.
