USA, NJ: Montclair Brewery to become Montclair’s first craft brewery soon
Fans of the brew will appreciate a new place to sip fresh beer in Montclair, NorthJersey.com reported on March 14.
The microbrewery and tasting room, Montclair Brewery, will be the first of its kind to open in the township and is slated to open early this year, as soon as the end of March.
The brewery is still undergoing renovations to meet local planning board requirements, but beer aficionados can still get in on the action ahead of the big day.
Brewery owners Leo and Denise Sawadogo are raising funds for their renovation project by crowdfunding through IndieGoGo. Backers will receive various perks depending on their pledge amount, including an engraved growler, coasters, choosing the name of one of four fermenters and for those who really love beer, a free one every day from the brewery for six months.
Prior to the couple's decision to go public and open a brewery, Leo Sawadogo had made homebrew beer for friends and family for 13 years, according to the brewery's website.
