Canada, MB: Oxus Brewing’s beers about to hit the market in Winnipeg
Just over a year after it received a preview profile at OnBeer.org, a new brewery in Winnipeg has announced that its beers are about to hit the market, Canadian Beer News reported on March 15.
Oxus Brewing has been established by Sean Shoyoqubov, an immigrant from Tajikistan who has been homebrewing since soon after he arrived in Winnipeg seven years ago.
The first two beers from Oxus are Juice of the Oats Oatmeal Stout (5.5% abv, 28 IBU) and Transoxania India Pale Ale (5.9% abv, 54 IBU), both of which shipped from the brewery earlier this week and will be available soon in 650 ml bottles at Liquor Mart locations. A third core brand, Canadian Dream Blonde Ale (4.6% abv, 20 IBU), is set to follow soon.
Oxus beers will be available exclusively via Liquor Marts and other select beer vendors for now, but Shoyoqubov has longer term plans to build a taproom and retail store at the brewery.
