Canada, MB: Kilter Brewing loses planned location in Winnipeg
Brewery news

Kilter Brewing has announced that it has lost the planned location for its bricks-and-mortar brewery in Winnipeg’s West Broadway/Wolseley neighbourhood, the Canadian Beer News reported on May 18.

According to a post on the brewery’s website:

“Merely a few days before official possession, our landlords abruptly told us we would not be given our space and have not shown any openness to discuss the reasoning or willingness to work it out with us.

This setback comes two months after the location was originally announced, and just days before the brewhouse custom built for the space is due to arrive.”

Kilter founders and brothers Miguel, Julien, and Jerik Cloutier plan to continue brewing small batches on the pilot system they’ve installed at One Great City Brewing. They are also asking for assistance in finding another brewery location which meets the following criteria:

Centrally-located in Winnipeg
5,000 – 10,000 sq. ft. space
14’+ ceilings
