USA, ME: Bissell Brothers Three Rivers opens second brewing location in Milo
Milo natives Noah and Peter Bissell just couldn't stay away from the place they called home, WABI reported on July 13.
Peter says, "It's very special. It had to be here if we were going to do it. And if it is five people in the door or five hundred, we are going to do it. It does not matter. It was the right thing to do, and it is nice to come to that point. We are not done by any means, but the public aspect is the last piece of the puzzle."
They started their journey back in 2013 when they opened a brewery, Bissell Brothers, in Portland which they call their second home.
When they decided to open a second brewing location, they knew it had to be in Milo.
The new location, called Bissell Brothers Three Rivers, had its grand opening on July 14.
He says, "Tap room culture, I can't stress enough, it is different than bars. It is very close, but it's a different animal. Family should feel welcome."
Noah, Peter, and the rest of their crew have been working hard to get the beer ready and a quality area to enjoy it.
He says, "Noah and the brew team have been working out back for about six months now. A lot of these beers take time, so the public integration is the last step. It's almost like, now it begins."
Bissell Brothers Three Rivers doesn't have regular hours, yet. The brothers says they will let the public know that soon.
