USA, IN: 2Toms Brewing opens its doors in Fort Wayne
Fort Wayne’s craft beer scene got a little bit bigger. 2Toms Brewing at 3676 Wells Street opened their doors on July 26, WANE reported.
"The focus was to really give a look and a feel of big breweries that you see in maybe Chicago or Cincinnati, or surrounding areas, bring that here to Fort Wayne,” says Tom Carpenter, owner of 2Toms.
There’s only one Tom behind this brewery. His wife joked he needed two Tom’s to keep up with all his hobbies, and the joke stuck.
Tom’s beer journey started nearly three years ago with a homebrew kit. Now, he’s got his own taps pouring unique beers.
"We're not very traditional so we're really looking to push boundaries as far as flavor an aroma, maybe what you might not expect in a beer. But from a culinary approach, really aromas, visually looking appealing, but just big and bold, and in your face,” says Tom.
From stouts, to sours there's a beer for everyone.
2Toms is also excited to have a food partnership with nearby King Arthur's.
"They will have their food truck onsite this weekend. But long-term, they're going to be running our prep kitchen area, servicing food there."
Even though this is just the beginning of 2Toms, there's more in store for the brewery.
"We are planning on having a crowler machine, so 32-ounce can, that people can get to go. But then, in the near future, sometime this year we're going to buy some canning equipment, have some special can releases "
But for now, you'll be able to try the brews in full pours or half pours to try a variety.
2Toms Brewing hours are Thursday 4-10, Friday 4-10, Saturday 12-10, and Sunday 2-8.
