USA, OR: Columbia River Brewing Co. closes its doors for good
Columbia River Brewing Co., which has been operating in Northeast Portland for nearly nine years, is the latest local brewery to close its doors, OregonLive reported on May 16.
The brewery opened in 2010 in the former Laurelwood Pizza space at 1728 N.E. 40th Ave. Its last day was May 15, according to the Hollywood Boosters Business Association.
The brewery is the latest in a recent string of Portland closures, including Burnside Brewing, BridgePort Brewing and Alameda Brewhouse.
Columbia River Brewing’s Stumbler’s Stout had won silver medals at the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival, according to beer-industry blog The New School, which reported last week about the closure.
