USA, IN: Schnitz Brewery and Pub will no longer brew its own beer
Schnitz Brewery and Pub in Jasper will no longer brew its own beer, the pub announced in a Facebook post on August 8.
Kim Voegerl, sales and marketing coordinator for Hanselman Group, which owns Schnitz, said customers can still fill growlers and crowlers of Schnitz-brewed beer while supplies last. She did not comment on why they will cease brewing.
“When our story is complete, we will share that with the public,” she said.
They will, instead, offer different craft and domestic beers on their draft lines.
Located in the lower level of KlubHaus 61 off Highway 231, Schnitz has been brewing beer since it opened four years ago. The pub brewed a variety of IPAs, Porters and Wheats, which are sold to other local restaurants and venues.
Schnitz will drop the “Brewery” from its name, and will continue to operate as a pub, serving pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and wraps.
Schnitz is owned by Hanselman Group, a family-owned and operated company which also operates Schnitzelbank restaurant and catering, Hampton Inn hotel, and event center KlubHaus 61.
