USA, VA: Lonesome Pine Brewing Company to open its doors in Lebanon this weekend
A new brewery has plans to open the doors in downtown Lebanon this weekend, WCYB reported on August 23.
The owner of Lonesome Pine Brewing Company, Brenton Moseley, said the business started out as a home brewery in his basement in 2009. Since, he has been working to make his dream come true by opening up to the public.
The brewery will open its doors during a ribbon-cutting on Saturday, August 24. Moseley tells News 5 the placement on Main Street is part of a plan to develop and encourage new business for downtown.
"We have great people here. We have enthusiasm here. We have businesses popping up every week it seems like. I'm hoping I can just be part of that," Moseley said. Moseley grew up in eastern Virginia and said the Main Street in his hometown was crucial to his childhood and the community as a whole. He hopes to bring the same excitement to Lebanon.
Moseley said he did have some community opposition ahead of approval for his business, but he said the work to opening day has been worth it.
Lonesome Pine Brewing Company is located right down from the Russell County Courthouse on Main Street.
The business will open from 1-5 p.m. Saturday for a ribbon-cutting celebration and stay open through the Food Truck festival in Lebanon on August 24.
Regular business hours will be Thursday through Sunday evenings.
