USA, WI: St. Francis Brewery appears to be closed for good
St. Francis Brewery, the first craft brewery and taproom to open in southern Milwaukee County, appears to be closed for good, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on October 7.
A sign on the door at the brewery and restaurant, 3825 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. in St. Francis, said it was closed and thanked customers for 10 years.
The brewery's telephone recording hasn't been changed to indicate it's closed, however. Brewery representatives couldn't be reached immediately for comment.
The restaurant and taproom drew crowds when Rick Michalski and his business partners opened it in April 2009 during the recession, in a 7,200-square-foot building.
More information will be reported as it becomes available.
