USA, IN: The Landing Beer Company slated to open in Fort Wayne soon
A new brewhouse is slated to open their doors to the public soon in Fort Wayne's historic city center at The Landing, wpta21.com reported on June 24.
The Landing Beer Company plans to serve up craft beer and good eats along Columbia Street.
Co-founder Brendon Maxwell said the location along the up-and-coming area is a perfect spot to open his beer and BBQ business.
"I've been long interested in this block and have felt like it has the most potential of any block in the city," Maxwell said.
"We've spent a lot of time on this. We were intentional about the ways were were investing. The location alone will make this an exciting place to come."
Maxwell teamed up with Caleb France, who owns the Cerulean restaurant in Winona Lake, to bring The Landing Beer Company to Fort Wayne.
The pair hired a production brewer from southern California to help them run the business.
The brewery is eyeing a soft opening on July 4th with a block party on the Landing.
You can expect food trucks, live music, and of course beer for the event that begins at 11 a.m. on Independence day.
The Landing was home to Fort Wayne’s first post office, theater and hotel, and now it’s is part of a $32.2 million project to redevelop seven buildings and two parking lots into a mixed-use space on West Columbia Street.
