Canada, ON: Slake Brewing opens its doors in Picton
A new “modern farmhouse-style brewery” in Ontario’s Prince Edward County has announced that it has opened its doors, the Canadian Beer News reported on October 6.
Slake Brewing is described by its owners as follows:
Built into a limestone hill, our brewery offers stunning panoramic views of The County from our taproom and patio. We produce barrel-aged, mixed fermentation beers in our cellar along with clean, balanced, delicious ales and lagers.
The brewery opened for business this past weekend, and is currently offering draught service on the patio along with snacks from Bloomfield Public House Market, and cans for takeaway sales. Beers available so far include Super Sunset Pale Ale (4.6% abv), Tasty Farmhouse Ale (5% abv), Hatch Pale Ale (5.2% abv), and Yellow Flowers Table Beer (3.5% abv).
Slake Brewing is located at 181 Mowbray Road in Picton, and is open from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM on Wednesday to Sunday.
