USA, FL: Stormhouse Brewing opening this spring in Palm Beach
Pints will be poured and sandwiches will be served at a restaurant opening this spring in Palm Beach’s Crystal Cove Commons plaza, the Palm Beach Post reported on December 23.
Stormhouse Brewing, a 5,200-square-foot eatery and brewery owned by four members of the Brinzo family and three other partners, will offer a wide variety of house-made craft beers and a full menu of chef-inspired dishes.
"We'll serve gastropub-type food," said Brian Brinzo, a Cleveland native and one of the eatery's owners. His sons Josh and Chris and his brother Brad are among the others.
"We don't want to have normal bar food. We'll have a rotating menu, and we'll offer specials. We'll have some Florida specials, like fresh fish and other delicacies."
Construction on the restaurant began last month, though plans have been in the works for two years, Brinzo said.
The owners signed a lease agreement in February, but permitting and other delays pushed back the start date by about four or five months.
"Everything got held up," Josh Brinzo said. "It was unfortunate, but those are the circumstances of 2020."
Stormhouse Brewing is the first restaurant venture for members of the Brinzo family, who previously have been involved in home brewing.
They initially wanted to open a small pub with no food on site, but changed their minds after they saw the northern Palm Beach County restaurant landscape.
"Nobody down there had a combination restaurant and brewery," Brian Brinzo said. "We thought we'd leverage that and go for that space."
While there are other breweries in the area that serve craft beer, among them Twisted Trunk Brewing in nearby Palm Beach Gardens, Stormhouse Brewing's concept will make it stand out, Josh Brinzo said.
"We marry a really good restaurant-quality kitchen and high-quality beer," he said. "We're bringing those two together to create something unique. It's an experience and a destination."
Stormhouse Brewing can seat 125 diners inside, and another 50 outside. It also will feature live music, sports, special events and family-friendly entertainment, Josh Brinzo said.
The owners are planning for a late March debut for their new restaurant, which is at 1201 U.S. 1, just north of the Parker Bridge.
Future plans include serving the community through fundraisers and partnerships with other local businesses, Brian Brinzo said.
"We really want to make a footprint in the community," he said. "We want to give back, and get involved in fundraising. We really want to be a partner in the community."
