USA, ID: Sockeye Brewing to open its second location in Boise next year
Brewery news

Sockeye Brewing will take over the large 36th Street Garden Center in Boise’s North End, with a huge 12,000 facility that it hopes will open next year, boisedev.com reported on June 24.

“Since we shuttered our location at Cole and Ustick, we have been on a deliberate search for a site that would make a statement and reflect the next chapter of Sockeye Brewing,” Sockeye business manager Janice Skinner said. “We are thrilled to have found a spot that’s not only beautiful but will be central to Boise’s foothills and well within reach of downtown and other portions of the Treasure Valley.”

The new Sockeye spot will complement the brewery’s flagship production and restaurant space on Fairview Ave. The 36th St. location will include a full restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, beer and wine service and an event space inside. The tap system will include more than two dozen handles.

Sockeye launched 25 years ago, and has seen a flurry of news of late. It moved an old Bench trolley to its Fairview site, completely rebranded its packaging, and now will work on the 36th St. location.

Sockeye will hold a two-day anniversary celebration with a concert at Expo Idaho on Friday, June 25 and a car show at the Fairview location Saturday, June 26.
