Canada, ON: Still Fields Brewery now open in Meaford
A new brewery dedicated to “crafting creative, experimental, spontaneous and wild beer” is now open in Meaford, a community in Ontario’s Grey County, the Canadian Beer News reported on October 6.
Still Fields Brewery has been founded by Margaret Curtis, Steven Ormsby, and Owen and Jaclyn Roth, and is located on a family farm which is also home to Highland Hop Yard.
The brewery has launched with a core line-up for four beers – Grisette (4% abv), Saison (5.6% abv), Hoppy Saison (5.6% abv), and Lager (4.5% abv) – all using Highland hops, and all fermented and/or aged in oak barrels.
Retail sales of the beers – 750 ml bottles of the first three, and 330 ml bottles of the lager – are currently limited to on-site purchases, with plans to add an online shop in coming weeks. The brewery also has a patio area where glasses of beer can be enjoyed.
Still Fields Brewery is located at 317 714 3rd Line in Meaford, and is open Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Friday to Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM.
